Hannah and Dan who got married in a small, intimate wedding ceremony at 23 Montrose Street in Glasgow City Centre. Followed by a stroll around the city for couple portraits.

Some weddings are big, bold, and packed with tradition. Others are quiet, intentional, and completely centred on what really matters. Hannah and Dan’s October elopement was very much the latter and it was an absolute joy to photograph.

They were married in the lovely Kelvin Suite at 23 Montrose Street, with a guest list made up of just the people who meant the most to them: their daughter, Hannah’s sister, and her sister’s partner. No fuss, no pressure, no over-the-top extras. Just love, laughter, and the simple fact that they were there to get married. It was laid-back, relaxed, and so true to who they are as a couple.

Hannah’s bridal look deserves a moment of its own. She wore a stunning House of CB blue dress, paired with a Poliana Artistry veil as her something blue and the most gorgeous heels. It was modern, different, and completely her. Everything about her look felt natural and personal. Proof that bridal style doesn’t have to follow any rules to be special. Her flowers were the ideal finishing touch from Blooms Glasgow as they complemented her dress and veil perfectly.

After the ceremony, we headed out into Glasgow for some candid family photos and couple portraits. Nothing forced or awkward, just natural moments as they wandered through the city together. This is where my non-obtrusive approach really shines, by letting couples enjoy their day while I quietly document it as it unfolds.

We finished the afternoon in a pub in the Merchant City, sitting outside with drinks and a Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer. This wasn’t just a sweet treat, it was a meaningful one. A Tunnock’s caramel wafer was the very first thing Dan ever bought Hannah for her birthday, so it felt only right to include it as part of their wedding day celebration. These are the little details I love most, the fun, personal moments that tell a real story.

Hannah and Dan’s elopement was proof that weddings don’t need to be extravagant to be incredibly special. It was intimate, relaxed, and full of genuine emotion which is an absolute joy to document.

I can’t wait to capture the next chapter of their story later this year when they celebrate with a larger wedding at the beautiful Dunkeld House Hotel. If their elopement is anything to go by, it’s going to be another unforgettable day.

If you’re planning a wedding or elopement and want laid-back, candid, and natural photography that lets you enjoy every moment without feeling watched, I’d love to hear from you.
