Hi I'm Rachael, the photographer behind Roots and Rays Photography! I'm based in East Kilbride just south of Glasgow.

I've loved photography since high school (that was a while ago now!) but never pursued it as a career until 2020 when covid forced me to re-evaluate what I wanted from life. I realised that it was completely possible for me to chase this crazy dream of running my own photography business capturing special moments for other people. There is truly nothing I would rather be doing!​

I specialise in wedding, engagement and elopement photography so I like to think I specialise in capturing the love between you and your partner however you chose to show it. Whether you love being in front of the camera or are a little bit camera shy I will make sure we capture you both perfectly with your family and friends.
