Erin & Michael’s wedding at The Engine Works, Glasgow was one of those days that just felt right from start to finish. Full of love, laughter, and the kind of energy that reminds me exactly why I adore photographing weddings.

The morning began with Erin getting ready at a beautiful Airbnb, surrounded by her closest people and the calm-before-the-storm excitement that only a wedding morning brings. Her makeup was done by the incredibly talented Martyna Pluta, who absolutely nailed a look that felt effortlessly Erin. And then there was the dress… Those gorgeous little buttons running down the back and sleeves, paired with a stunning cape, made for such a show-stopping silhouette. Add in a beautiful lace-trimmed veil (and yes, we all know how I feel about a lace-trimmed veil!) and it was perfection.

Their florals were so them, a thoughtful blend of native flowers from both Scotland and Australia, a nod to Michael’s roots and the life they’ve built together. It was such a meaningful detail and worked beautifully against the industrial backdrop of The Engine Works.

The ceremony itself was gorgeous and completely encapsulated Erin and Michael as a couple: warm, personal, and full of heart. One of my favourite moments was the rings being passed around the guests for good luck, such a lovely way to include everyone and make the ceremony feel even more intimate. And the confetti exit? Unreal. Their guests were so up for it, which always makes the biggest difference. You can genuinely feel the excitement bursting out of the photos.

Afterwards, we rounded up their nearest and dearest for group photos, always a tonne of fun, before sneaking off for some couple portraits around the venue. The Engine Works is an absolute dream for photos, with its gorgeous brick walls, industrial textures, and endless little pockets of light. Erin and Michael looked completely at ease together, soaking it all in.

The speeches were brilliant, a perfect mix of laughter and tears. There were plenty of laughs, but the standout moment had to be Erin’s sister’s speech. It was so heartfelt and beautifully written that there wasn’t a dry eye in the room… myself included.

As the evening rolled on, the dance floor never emptied. The moves were unforgettable, the vibes were immaculate, and it was the perfect ending to an incredible day.

Erin and Michael, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding. Your day was full of joy, meaning, and so much love – and it was an absolute honour to be part of it 🤍
